MediQuest Hires Pharmaceutical Industry Veteran as Executive VP and Chief Clinical Officer

(BOTHELL, WA - Jan. 7) - MediQuest Therapeutics, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company that recently announced positive results from a Phase III study for a therapy designed to treat Raynaud's Disease, is pleased to announce that Dr. Jan Öhrström M.D. has joined the company's senior management team as executive VP and chief clinical officer.

For the past seven years, as part of senior management, Dr. Öhrström helped build ZymoGenetics Inc. into the largest independent, fully integrated biotech company in the region. During his tenure, he also participated in taking the company through its IPO and successive offerings.

Prior to ZymoGenetics Inc., Dr. Öhrström worked 10 years for Novo Nordisk Healthcare in Princeton, NJ and Copenhagen, Denmark. Dr. Öhrström received his M.D. from the University of Copenhagen.

In addition to its Raynaud's Disease therapy, MediQuest's robust pipeline includes two drug candidates in clinical trials, one at the pre-clinical stage and others at the research stage. The company develops first- and best-in-class topical therapies to treat patients suffering from inflammatory and infectious diseases.
