MediQuest hires former CFO for Roche Consumer Health as new Chief Financial Officer

(Bothell, WA - Nov. 28, 2006) MediQuest Therapeutics, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company that recently released results of a Phase IIIa clinical trial for a new potential therapy to treat Raynaud's Disease, is pleased to announce that Douglas R. Sanders, MBA, has joined the company as its chief financial officer.

In his new role, Sanders, the former head of business operations and chief financial officer for Roche Consumer Health (a division of Hoffmann-La Roche based in Switzerland), will be part of the company's management team and is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the company.

Prior to joining MediQuest Therapeutics in October, Sanders was a consultant for Light Sciences Corporation in Washington state. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years in a number of positions at Hoffmann-La Roche. His most recent position at Roche was from 2000-2005 as the head of business operations and chief financial officer for Roche Consumer Health, a division of Hoffmann-La Roche. Sanders has also held auditor positions at companies including Eastman Kodak Company, Hoffman, Stewart & Schmidt and Ernst and Young.

Sanders holds a B.A. in economics and accounting from Gonzaga University and his MBA in international management from Thunderbird, the Garvin School of International Management. Sanders is also a certified public accountant in the state of Arizona.
